portable generators

This question was posted to a different RV Forum.
What is the difference between a Honda and Honeywell generator besides the price. Is Honda 2000 better... but is it? What is the benefit, or draw back, of each? Please weigh in so I'll have a better understanding before I plunk my money down.
Thanks!

Take a look at the Yamaha as well. I have used both in the 2000 models and have been happy with each of them. Both used with TT and on jobsites. Both very quiet and efficient. The thing I liked the best about the Yamaha is they tend to go on sale from time to time which the Hondas rarely, if ever, do.

Maybe very little, or maybe longevity and reliability. We know Honda and Yamaha engines and inverters are excellent and quiet performers with few, if any, problems reported. Honeywell gensets are newcomers on the block, so we have to wait and see.

A similar question was asked about Boliy generators a couple years ago, and their track has proven to be dismal, with numerous problems reported and difficulties in getting parts and service, even under warranty. Supposedly has improved now, but... caveat emptor. Even so, some people bought the less expensive Boliy and got decent service from it, at a relatively bargain price.

Let's up Honeywell, a larger and more established competitor, can do better.
