By law if you have a home account and it gets "Locals" and you use your spare receiver in the RV... YOU CAN NOT GET DNS.. That is the law. pure and simple Federal law, does not matter if it's dish or DirecTV.
Dish was sued over this issue, and lost, which is why the one poster above says they can no longer offere DNS but you can get it from a 3rd party. NOTE: I"m not entierly sure that is true.. But I'm not entierly sure it is not true either.. Will not research it for at least 2-3 years.
DirecTV,, Well I hear from many users who are doing that (Using a home account receiver in the RV) and are getting DNS.. How DirecTV is getting away with it I do not know. But it is illegal.
What you need to do is get them to convert your service from "HOME" to RV, RV accounts DO qualify for DNS. Then you use the "Spare" receivers... In the house.
Same receivers, you don't change a thing, save the account type.
Home is where I park it!
