I have to disagree. They require a deposit, but if you get there, check out the rig and you are not impressed with it, you get your deposit back. I think this must be to keep people from "putting them on hold, then never showing up. If you have your $ 500, or whatever the deposit is now, you are pretty sure TO show up.
I bought my MH there ten years ago, and I was greatly impressed with their integrity. You can even pay a fee (I don't know what it currently is) and they will go over all of the systems and INSURE that they are all working.
I haven't heard many complaints on PPL and they seem, over the years, to be taking care of business.
No, I have no dog in the fight at all. I am just a really loyal customer. That goes for their parts people also. When there has bee a mistake in parts, they normally tell me that they will send me the right part on the day I call, and usually don't want the wrong one back.
