I understand pure accidents, I really do. I don't consider what they did to fall into an "accident," however. I consider it pure negligence.

To give an idea of what this guy did, to show what exactly I am talking about:

Was in a campground when someone hit the water spigot and tried to leave without paying. The owner explained that the sherrif would find him and arrest him. So he could pay now or later from the jail cell.

Well, there you have it.

The guy was heading home from his brothers funeral, cross country. He is in his 70's and has Parkinson's. My grandmother had Parkinson's. You DON'T drive if you have it. Especially a motorhome. I really don't get it.

So he made a mistake! We have ALL made them sometime, or multiple times, in life. And then there are the idiots that line up to make judgment, get a life!

Well, unfortunately it is his right rather than privilege, and I have to support that. I have to agree, though, that you can't fix stupid. Let's hope he doesn't take out a person in the future. Sort of reminds me of something one of my grandkids said to her mother earlier this week, after said grandchild locked the car doors while both were standing outside the car (with the motor running). She said, and I quote "It was on accident," as if that would make it all okay.

I'll remember to forward that quote to anyone found guilty of reckless driving or drunk driving, or anyone who takes someone out because they were texting while driving

I am of an age now that some of the lessons I have lived by have kept me sane for years;
Life is hard, but it’s harder when you’re stupid.
Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear or a fool from any direction.
Never ask how stupid someone is 'cause they'll turn around and show you.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
Some folks had a choice at the beginning “Looks or Brains” Looks last the first half of your life but Brains will get you through the last half.
My Hero once said; I’ll be my own hero, I’ll be my own man, I’m the only one I ever met that is really worth a damn.

They are among us:
They are 0 to ? in age, they are all sexes, all races, their education level is from 0 to ?, they come from all states and countries, from all economic levels.
They drive everything on the road from skateboards to 42 ft DPs & 18 wheelers and they look just like you and me and they are STUPID.
Ignorance can be cured with education, STUPID is forever.
Be watchful and be careful for they are among us.
Also, in Texas owner ship is a RIGHT. But driving is a PRIVILEGE not a right.
Seriously be safe and be careful out there.

The onlly comment I will make, or rather the only exception to your post is this:

Owning an RV is the right of those who can afford it.

Parking in any given RV park is a privileged

Being allowed to drive is a Privileged.

but I have known people who own and ride in vehicles they have never driven, will never drive and in fact could not drive if they wanted to.

So, If I were a campground owner.. i'd be knocking on that RVer's door, presenting him with a bill for a brand new 50 amp upgrade on the site he trashed, and telling him "When your stay is over,, Staff will drive your rig through the exit gate. DO NOT RETURN.
