Propane Filling Stations

We are planning a road trip out east to the Maritimes and are using an RV with an onboard propane tank which needs to be filled.
we live an hour north of Toronto.
is there a list available of propane filling stations or does anybody know of one in our area.

I'm not sure how well they cover Canada, but you might try some of the AllStays Apps for LP information.

I would advise to check out any of the larger campgrounds with full hook ups in your area. Majority of those in USA all have propane available for sale, and I would guess that it's the same for Canada campgrounds.
You don't have to be camping there to buy propane, and we've never had a problem.
Also, many farm supply centers should have propane for sale. Bought from places like that in our travels up thru BC and Yukon enroute to Alaska.
Just simply google up a town/city in your area or on your route for "propane".

It's been my experience that most larger CGs will usually have propane. A lot of parks list amenities in their website. You might check a few of them.

Call your local Canadian Tire and ask if they sell "RV" propane.

Welcome. You are joining a good of folks here.

You might check U-haul dealers if you have them in Canada as many will also have propane (we have used them often). Also Big stores like Costco, BJs, Good Sams stores will have propane.

Good luck and enjoy the adventure

On our trip the big problem was measuring the lp for permanently installed tank. When I found a place in Newfoundland that could measure it, they were out of lp. So I spent 10 hours waiting for the lp truck to show up. Had I had a 5 gallon tank I could have gotten it filled.

We find about half at large commercial campgrounds and half at petrol stations. We’ll top of in a few days at a Petro-Canada a few miles away. Larger Canadian Tire stores have bulk propane. Google is kind of iffy in our experience, it will steer you to a store selling small exchange cylinders and be completely blind to a gas station with a propane pump. Asking locals or campground staff is our go to solution, they almost always know where to find it.
