8-9 years ago WA voters, thru the initiative process, virtually eliminated a cash-cow, for state and local governments, motor vehile tax from an annual 2% of a declining vehicle value, ie, 2% of $100,000 equaled $2,000, down to $30. Since then, including a court case, our legislature intermittenly tries to retap into this source of revenue. Our MH tax now is at $175.

The latest, current, try, Senate Bill 6900, is a propsed "engine displacement fee". For instance, our 4.0 L toad would have such an annual fee of $275. An 8.0 L vehicle would have fee of $600 Lucky for me, Motor Homes are exempted!!

This bill also include an emmission fee, to be determined later

Ahh, there's part of the problem. You need all groups to band together to fight these "initiatives", because your sacred cow is next on the list!

Well, I would have selected another ___-tarded phrase, but the chat filters don't allow words of that nature, so retarded had to suffice.
