Protecting moving parts
What do folks use to protect moving parts, i.e. slides, gears, scissor jacks, from the effects of a salty climate? We plan on parking our 5th wheel (permanently) in the south, close to the ocean.

Fresh water is your friend. Keep everything clean and lubed.
That includes washing the underside too to keep the metal bits down there happy.
There isn't really any PROTECTION from the salt air, the best you can do is try to slow the damage.

I lived in Daytona Beach, a block from the Ocean, for 13 years. Nothing will stop the rust.

When you are looking at used RV's, you can tell which ones were used near salt water by the severe rust damage everywhere. I wouldn't buy one like that.

Wash and spray moving parts.Have the entire under carriage under coated by a reputable compaby including all axeles and tow arms. This will help a lot. But no garraunty.[emoji12]

Thanks! Never heard of the stuff but will definitely check it out. Looks like some excellent reviews on Amazon.
