Question about charging my RV battery

Here is something that has me puzzled. When my RV is plugged into a regular 30 amp AC outlet, does the battery in the camper automatically get charged? If not, should I connect the battery charger to it while I'm in camp? I have a 2000 Fleetwood/Terry hybrid camper.

Your converter charges your battery and everything else that runs on 12 volts. That is why you need a battery for the high draw items like levelers and slides. You need the stored amperage. As long as you are plugged in and your converter is working and the battery is good you are fine.

Thanks, so very much. I was just not sure and since I bought the camper used, there was no manual. For the past several gearsseveral years when I've gone camping, I've taken a trickle charger with me.

Now, I don't think I need to do that. Are used to disconnect my battery and took it to the charger. I guess that was kind of redundant. I will still take the charger with me, but now I won't be so worried about using it. Thanks again.

I always carry a charger with us. Not to charge the trailer batteries, but in case I inadvertently run down the truck battery and need to charge it with our inverter generator.
