Question About Installation of Roadmaster Steering Stabilizer

Monday I will have a local Ford dealer install a Roadmaster steering stabilizer on my 1999 National motorhome (Ford F53 chassis). I ordered the stabilizer and bracket kit on Amazon. When the stabilizer installation is finished what are the chances that it will be properly centered? Is this something I can adjust later with basic tools? Unfortunately, I have a bad back right now and I'm not looking forward to crawling under the coach to make minor adjustments. On the other hand, returning to the dealer for adjustments puts me on their clock at over $100 per hour. Not entirely sure how to proceed.

Easy to adjust. Just get going in a straight line, stop, crawl under and loosen the bracket (2 U-bolts), remove any pressure on the Reflex spring and tighten the U-bolts. Can't comment on your ability to crawl under with your back.

Also, if you have any kind of track bar make sure it doesn't impact the Roadmaster when the suspension gets compressed. I had to mount mine at a bit of a vertical angle to get the clearance needed.

That's part of the installation process that you are paying them to do. You can adjust it later but it should be centered before you leave their premises.

I installed the same kit on my Winnebago and it was a fairly simple install. The dealership should have no problem getting it correct.
