Question of guilt.

In Sept 2013 I purchased a 24 foot class c, 1992 with a Ford 460 powertrain and 34,000 miles. I fixed and repaired a few things, resealed the roof with liquid roof, etc. I store the motor home 7 months of the year, April to Dec, than pull it out of storage in NJ and drive 1500 miles south to wherever I wind up and park for many months till I'm ready to return home.
Question, I have changed the oil before each drive and have done nothing other than lube the underside and doors, drawers etc.
Motor home runs like a top and I feel guilty that I'm not doing more. I do add a gas additive Stabil when stopped and use Lucas gas conditioner. I do check all fluids before and after each trip. Should I be doing more???????????

According to most RV engine manufacturers the oil should be changed before you store it for any length of time. This gets rid of the acids that form in the old oil before it sits there over a long period of time.

Transmission fluid and brake fluids are probably called for at 30k miles. How about hoses and belts? If over 10 years I would change them.

Agree. I would change oil annually before storage period rather than after.

Thanks everyone I just changed the oil, now I will let it sit. Hoses and belts, trans oil and brake fluid and anti freeze were done year I bought it. I have pressure tested the cooling system also and all is well.
