Rat in MH

Suggestions please. Anyone ever have a rat in their MH? If you have please tell me how to get rid of/kill one that I saw. It's in some of the lower compartments and have seen traces up above. Plugged any holes where wiring or piping goes between compartments with foam spray, used sticky traps (which it gets stuck on but frees itself apparently) and regular traps (which it ignores). Not sure what to try next short of a 22 revolver with birdshot!

Rat size trap (spring loaded whachem type by victor). Place a bit of cotton ball covered in peanut butter on bait tab. That my best guess, just supersize the way I do mice. If he's not interested, add bacon grease. If you don't want to fry up bacon, use bacon bits from the salad section in the grocery aisle. Good luck. Curious to hear what gets him.

Just make sure he's gotta tug a bit with the cotton attached. Should keep his attention a bit longer and a harder tug to set the trap off like it does with discriminating mice.

Rat sized spring trap with peanut butter. Humane box trap with oatmeal. Take your time setting the trap so it has a hair trigger.

Already have four of the Victor rat traps. Not at all interested in peanut butter. Will try cotton ball with bacon grease next, set to hair trigger. Will let you know. Ordered 9 more super sticky glue board things from Amazon, should get them Monday. Also just put out rat poison baits...sort of a last resort. Didn't want the sucker dying somewhere I can't get at, but my guess is he won't be interested. Next stop the gun shop to see if they have 22 birdshot in stock. This is a real pain!

The do make a .22 short rat shot. Short effective range should keep collateral damage to a minimum.

Attach a string to the trap so the rat does not wander off to die and take the trap with it.

Got any friend with a weasel or ferret for a pet. They will dispatch any vermin right quick, and can get anywhere the rat can. My friend has a ferret, and they used it to get rid of a squirrel out of an attic they couldnt get out.

We had a rat, purchased a device from Harbor Freight that produces a sound we cannot hear. Haven't seen any signs of rats in several years
