I have only had my MH for 1 week so have a lot of questions! On the way home it seemed like the rattle came from the vent fan for the stove - how do I silence it?
Thanks.

Try checking the rubber grommets that hold the rack above the burners on the stove top. If they get knocked out the rack rattles. Might also see if the microwave oven has the 'plate' (or whatever that thing is called) inside secure.
Have had both things happen to us

I thought I'd seen some gizmo in an camping store, perhaps Camping World, that is supposed to hold the outside plastic vent louvers closed. But I can't recall what it looked like... Our vent does rattle a bit, especially in the suction of passing a semi trailer, but we pretty much ignore it. We travel with both ceiling vents always open, so maybe that lessens the differential of inside air pressure vs. outside pressure, I don't know. RVers use all kinds of tricks, from wedges of popscicle sticks to industrial velcro to quiet rattles. Your difficulty may be compounded by the fact that the vent is 8 feet (or more)up off the ground, so whatever you put up there, you need a stepladder to get it back off... Perhaps a short piece of plastic, like a lever, that screwed on one end to the side of the vent. -You could use your awning rod to reach up and flip the plastic lever over to secure the louver closed during transit. (?)

Hello, those types of rattles are not at all uncommon and sure are annoying. These machines take a lot of bumping and banging along the highways. When I had that one it turned out to be a piece of metal or plastic up inside between the fan and the vent it had dislodged itself and by working at it I was able to snap it back into place and that soved that rattle. Good luck you just have to keep hunting and trying different things.
