Read the OP

Ever notice how many times people post to a thread without ever even reading the original post? I guess that's why threads tend to drift off topic by the second page.

Maybe a checkbox before being able to post saying "I have read the OP and am posting in compliance to answering or commenting to the OP". [emoji23][emoji23]

I felt the same way many times asking myself "why didn't that poster read my original post?" Then I realized I was guilty doing the same thing on other threads. Hmmmmm.

To a certain degree forums are simply conversations in written format rather than spoken. Like any other conversation it might wander from (and maybe back to) the original topic.

I agree that many of the comments are so far off topic so as to be not useful, or rude, or just a waste of 'air' - but all of those same things can be said about many spoken conversations.

But hey, it gives the forum staff something to do - reprimand us every now and then to stay on topic.
They have to do something to earn the big bucks they make by working here!

Now you're just being silly.

You have to ask that question in the Class A section of the forums.

Been foruming for a while and have noticed it's a lot like grade school. Educate, and move on.

Next group -- educate, and move on.

Rinse and repeat over and over again.

The key is to have patience, understanding, being courteous and not disseminating your own advice (over and over again) as the only way.

Times change. Method changes are unstoppable. And most of all; have fun.

Nothing ever posted on a public forum should be believed as true. Sort through it all and make up your mind.

Now back to the op.

Or someone asks a question and gets a great answer. Then 2 hours later another poster gives the exact answer that the great answer was.
