I supposed it's just as well we stayed home this winter___. High is gonna be 12F tomorrow in SW Indiana, since we would be running a furnace anyway it might as well be the one that is 98% efficient versus the RV furnace that is 55-60%.

WOW!!...aint this somethin. Just got back to our rig parked here near Tampa. We had to fly North to Des Moines for daughters wedding and ran into three days of WINTER STORM in Iowa. Cars in the ditches, -19 degrees & windchills WELL lower, 25-35 mph NW winds, drifting snow,....you name it.....sheeeeze!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!

Now we haven't experienced winter like that since hittin the road fulltime out of Duluth, MN in Sept. of 05, and I had been complaining about the "cold" temps down here in Tampa (high 20's to mid 30's before sun up and after sun down) BUT......this trip to Des Moines put it ALL back in prespective and although I'd been fondly recalling the fun of shoveling snow (which I REALLY enjoyed) back in our Minnesota days, this re-introduction to northern winters did put ANY foolish ideas I might have been considering about settling up North again some time...RIGHT OUTTA MY MIND!!! It AINT GONNA HAPPEN.....EVER.....NEVER...NO WAY!!!! I'll take the 30's in Florida, Texas or Arizona, and ENJOY EVERY SHIVER Eh?

Steve

Wind Chill

I think I was better off before I ever knew anything about Wind Chill

This is about as bad as I have ever seen since I had a weather station. I won't be going outside very much today

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Really enjoying the Phoenix area weather. How come well:
Night time 40-50 perfect sleeping weather.
Day time 65-70 perfect working, touring or just swimming in the heated pool.
Tickets went on sale for the Baseball Spring Training games.
The Big show coming up in Quartzsite in a week or so and the weather over there is just as good as Phoenix, AZ
Will be heading down to Puerto Penasco [Rocky Point] Mexico about Jan. 25-26 2010 with another couple leaving Hila Bend, AZ all are welcome to go with us and will be staying at the Playa Bonita RV Resort.

Yesterday and over night we had a "good" 55 F here in the area!!!!
OK , some rain too...

Well, we replaced you in Duluth at the same time. We went from full timing to putting a house up 5 miles from the grand kids. So far this has been the winter from h**l.
