Yesterday our refrigerator started to make a noise that resembles a bad fan. The sound is coming from the rear of the unit, but the fan seems okay when checked from the outside. Any suggestions?

Make & model of the fridge? Some have built in fans in the vent stack, others do not. And some of the newest ones have small compressors with fans.

I've added a shortcut to this topic in RV System & Appliances, where it is likely to get more input.
