There are states more than happy to register your motorhome and take your money. Florida which I am familiar with, only requires you have Florida vechicle libility insurance and any state' photo ID. Most likly Calif will not insure another state licensed vechicle. Snow Birds that spend six months or more in a state can choose licensed state, but most likly have to have vechicle libility insurance for their state.
