Rejex Smear

We recently purchased a gallon of rejex along with their recommended clearner. We washed and dried the camper as recommended and waxed the entire unit with Rejex. The decals and all colors look great. Shiny with no smear.

However, all the white gelcoat looks terrible, the entire unit, except colored decals, shows smears like it was never buffed out. Any one else ever had this problem & if so how was it corrected?

Rejex Smear

I've used rejex for years and never had this issue. I buy it in the 16 oz. size and rub it off when it hazes up. My use has been on painted surfaces.

That happened to me on a lot of areas and it's hard to get off. I won't fool with the stuff again.

I used it regularly on a 5er with GelCoat finish, and on the MH with fullbody paint. I have had no problems. I wonder if you're leaving it on too long? That might make it harder to buff out. Have you call the Rejex folks?

I never had a smear problem. However, I tried it several years ago as a means of mitigating the stickiness of love bugs. In that respect, it didn't seem to be any better than a coat of Nu-Finish. Have you tried an electric buffer?

Same thing happened to me. I just redid it with a little rejex to soften it up. The trick is to use very little rejex and do not let it setup. Put it on and wipe it off. I have an electric buffer now which would have helped. I may have changed from a soft cotton cloth to a micro fabric to help polish it. It is good stuff but you have to work in small sections at a time.

I've never had a problem. It should not be used in the sun or on a hot surface, and should be dried to a haze (10 to 15 min) before wiping off.
