Remote back-up camera

H i
Has any one installed a remote(no wires)back-up camera?
What is an economical one to get?
Do the remotes work as well as the ones that are hard
wired in?

We installed a wireless backup camera in our previous 5-r (2004) & had issues with reception on the tv screen in the truck. Tooling down the open road, the screen was snowy & had interference lines running through it. However, when we were in city traffic, going under a bridge or being passed by a semi, we would get a crystal clear picture on the screen. Something about the signals bouncing off high rise buildings in a downtown or bouncing off the bridge or semi seemed to improve the image. We weren't happy with it, although I'm sure the technology has improved greatly in the past 6+ years.

I purchased a Peak wireless backup camera for use in my 5r. The price was right @ $70 and it was an easy install. It had a 7" screen that would let me see almost up to the edge of the camper. All worked well until I neglected to lock the truck one night and I am now down a display screen, a GPS, an inverter, and a pair of binoculars. All that and I live in the burbs where it is suppose to be safe. I learned a valuable lesson. Lock up everything. BTW I will have another one soon as it is an invaluable piece of equipment in my opinion.
