Removable window shades for doors?
I am sitting in my trailer, facing east. The sun is coming up and shining through the "privacy" glass on the door. Lovely, except it woke me up this morning at 5:30! These early mid-summer mornings are killing me any suggestions for a removable cover I can put over the door windows at night that will keep the light down? I am a good seamstress, so I can sew something if I knew how to attach it.

I used this: Reflectix 16 in. x 25 ft. Double Reflective Insulation with Staple Tab-ST16025 - The Home Depot
I cut it the shape of my door window and then used velcro squares in the corners to hold it in place. Kept the sun out when we needed it and kept the unit cooler too.

If you are looking for the true trailer-trash look, I recommend Reynolds wrap and some duct tape.

I have sun screens that snap on the front/sides of my coach windows, what about something like that. Look at the companies that make windshield shades, there in one that uses magnets, take off and on as you see or need?

We used a solar shade that camping World and other sell for the door. This uses Velcro to hold the shade in place. We would remove this when the door was opened and install it when needed; both at night and during the day when the door was closed and the AC was on.
We also used this on the bathroom skylight to block the sun in our last fiver.

DW bought 2 of these sun shades that attach with suction cups, for those "problem" windows.

The previous owner must have had one made for our rig. Velcro all the way around on the door frame and shade material.

We have a roll down window shade that's mounted above the door. Just roll it down when needed and when it's rolled up it's stored away.

Terry, can you post a picture so I can see how she did it? This sounds like what I had in mind.

I have a Magnashade window cover that covers my door window. It is held on with magnets. Well worth the money because before I got it the sun let heat in the whole door so bad we would cook up front. We have a night shade on the door window but it is inconvenient to roll up and down as you go in and out. This screen is on the outside of the door and really keeps heat down.
