Removing mirror backsplash
The backsplash in the kitchen under the cabinets is made up of vertical mirror sections that was popular back then. Annette would like to replace them with the SmartTiles. I don't know how to go about removing them without breaking, which would create a HUGE mess!
Have any of you done this? I appreciate your help!

I was able to remove mine (and replace with Smart Tiles) using a 3-4" wide putty knife, carefully prying them away. Not one broke. As recommended by others, I had put a couple strips of duct tape over the mirrors, wore gloves and safety glasses, but no issues. Most are glued on with a couple stripes of glue, not the whole back, so they come off fairly easily (at least, in my case.)
Had to do a touch of scraping/sanding to remove some residual glue. Cleaned the walls thoroughly with a TSP solution, and the Smart Tiles have held through Michigan summers and winters for 4 year now.

That's the news I was looking for! We used the Smart Tiles in the bathrooms and loved them! Annette has been after me to put them in the kitchen, but I was a little reluctant to mess with those mirrors!
