Does anyone on this forum know of a club or clubs that contract with any of the national rental agencies offering RV'rs special discounts.

We don't pull a toad and getting off the site with taxi has turned out to be expensive.

We want to stay in SC this winter for a few weeks and have freedom to sightsee, by groceries etc.

Sorry, don't know of any, but the car rental companies often have promotional coupons in many magazines (especially travel related ones) or special rates in certain regions. Try a internet search on "car rental discount" and you should find some possibilities.

If you work for a major company, it is likely the rental outfits offer them a corporate discount. Ask your employer or the rental agencies - usually any employee qualifies. Unions, credit unions and other groups may also have discount arrangements. So do AAA and AARP, if you belong to either of those.

Check with the campground where you're staying. Some may have a deal with a local agency or dealer. We once got a great deal in San Diego from a local Ford dealer through the campground.
