Renting an RV in L.A.

I live in Spain. Next summer we'd like to rent an RV in L.A. I have just asked for information in an agency in my country. It costs 4000 $ for 15 days, picking it up in L.A. and dropping it off in San Francisco. I wonder if it would worth renting the vehicle in US instead. What's your opinion? Obviously, it's not a question of a few dollars.

Well, silversurfer, that come out to 266 a day, so not too bad a price!
The MH's here range from 100 dls. a day for a class C, to 200/400 dls. a day for the really big class A diesel pushers! And they all charge mileage too, some give you 100 free miles a day, some do not! The mileage charges will add up, if you plan on going very far, so do some math, and see if it is right for you and your trip you have planned!
I am living in Thailand, am from the U.S. and found it is way cheaper to buy a used MH, use it for the time I am in the U.S., then sell it when done! But I have family who can do that for me. Also, you have to find the right MH, in really good shape, so you don't spend your whole trip in the shop!
Do your research, and know the costs going in, and there won't be any big surprizes at the end of your trip! Have fun! Rail!
