Repair Care Ext Svc Plan

Anyone have Repair Care for their ESP? It is actually underwritten by Allstate, according to the dealer who offers it. I'm trying to decide on that or Good Sam ESP, or another if there is something better.

I can now supply at least a partial answer to my own question. I purchased the RC "premium" coverage for 1 year at the dealership (Eastside RV Liquidators, Tucson, AZ) when I bought my '06 class A gasser on Saturday, Oct 29. )

The very next day the unit broke down. (I will place a more complete report on the breakdown, towing, repairs, etc., in another thread.) My Good Sam Roadside Assistance provided the required towing. The service center (A Action Automotive, Hesperia, CA) provided excellent service.

Unfortunately, repair required replacement of a throttle body and that particular part is not mentioned in the list of engine components covered in the policy. While my RV was being repaired the dealership talked to their insurance rep, the rep talked to the underwriters, but the outcome remained the same: not covered.

Fortunately, the dealership, without obligation, stepped up and paid for the repair.

I do not know how this compares with other ESPs. I certainly thought all the important components on the engine, among many other things, were covered, but one would have to check the coverage of any particular policy.

I believe the best policies are those that are exclusionary--that is, they list what is excluded from coverage. Not a guarantee that everything else IS covered, but helps you know what not to try a claim on.
Sounds like Eastside is a straight-up dealership.
