Replacement CO detector

My Costar 9RV CO detector in my 2013 Winnebago has bit the dust and just beeps away every 30 seconds. Any recommendations for a good replacement unit are greatly appreciated.

Have you tried blowing it out with a can of compressed air? My CO detector had aged out and I got one from Amazon.

I replaced mine with the Safe-T-Alert that I bought on Amazon. This one has lasted about 3 years now. They age out around 5. I put connectors on the wiring so that I can swap out easier plus when it goes out all I have to do is pop off the connector to make it hush until I can replace it.

I bought the Kidde with the 10 yr lithium ion battery that is good for ten years. I like it and I also like that it has a display window that tells you the PPM of concentration if it does go off. I got mine at Walmart, but I think I saw them at Home Depot also. Price was about $50 but it saves you messing with batteries each year.

Yours is probably recessed into the wall. To keep it simple just order the same make and model. Takes about five minutes to change it out IF the replacement is the same. I got my replacement from Amazon.

I purchased a Kidde to replace my Costar CM unit. The wiring on the Costar is a red, red, yellow. The Kidde wires are red, black, white. What needs to go where please?

I'd look up the model numbers and download the manuals. Any answers from us, the peanut gallery, would be worth less than what you paid for.

My Rv came with an Atwood.. Which is not made by Atwood but by Kidde. (in fact about half the pages in the manual said Kidde instead of Atwood) when it failed I replaced it with a Kidde.. The only difference was the battery compartment cover on the atwood had a chard pealed and stuck to it that lists the different alarm sounds and their meaning (Like low battery, System failure, ALARM GET OUT NOW,). and the Kidde did not.. I swapped the covers since they were otherwise identical.

Odds are if you take your old one to Lowes. you'll find an exact, except for the paint job, match. else,,, But: Any good one will do.
