For those of you who have replaced your carpeting with Allure (not Ultra), what did you use to make cuts around areas like the doghouse or an angle within a flooring strip? I am thinking something like tin snips but not sure if that'll be best. I think I'm okay with making straight cuts with a razor knife.

I have also decided to remove the built-in dinette and thereby taking out the structure which holds the seatbelts.
How did you remove the bolts?? I am thinking I may have to grind them somehow. I have an oscillating tool but not sure if that'll work. Seems like a lot of grinding to go through and yet the bolts seem to be welded to the floor. Wish they were press fit so I could use a persuader to smack them out. Ugh!

I was able to borrow a cordless cut-off tool and was skeptical. I had just used a cordless sawzall with a fresh charged battery and I killed the battery on the first bolt. Used a new cut off wheel and head them (8 of them) flush cut and cleaned up in under 20 minutes. Still keeping an eye out incase any sparks take hold. Glad I was able to get that part done. Now I can concentrate on the flooring.

We used tin snips And a paper cutter to cut the Allure my DH and I laid down in our dinning room and kitchen. Worked well.

I used long cut aviation snips to makes cuts around objects. Long straight cuts were make with a sharp utility knife. Used a lot of blades.

I started putting it down yesterday and haven't gotten to a point where I need small cuts yet. Need to find a straight edge around here as my next piece is cutting around the stair well :-). Sitting here at the edge of the manufacturer's temp rating too. But it looks great so far!
