Request for insurance information from iRV2 members

Trying to get copies of RV or motorhome insurance from various Suppliers for review. Interested mostly in policy language regarding wiring damages, and rodent damages. I will save my rant on my insurance problems but you can look up my past problem with Allied / Nationwide which covers neither of the above. A sincere Thanks in Advance for input. As some sends a policy I will advise I got the Policy from Company X etc.

Thanks so much.

How old is RV and full time or part time traveler.
Don't know of any companies that cover rodent/insect damage or wiring damage for RVs or stick houses, not to say they don't exist.
There are lots of products out there for rodent control and also surge protectors to prevent overloading wiring and electronics.

I can tell you State Farm pays for rodent damage both on personal vehicles and to a motorhome TWICE!

I've done racoon damage clean up many times over the years on boats.

I always require payment from the owner and never rely on a payment from an insurance company because in my experience it's been some do and some don't.

I have no idea on which companies did or didn't but I do remember very angry customers when they find out my bill isn't covered and then even angrier when they realize the carpet, upholstery, vinyl, etc.. aren't covered either.

But an experienced insurance agent should have that information.

On a side note, you ain't lived until you've cleaned up the interior of a boat that had a family of raccoons living in it all winter. Tyvek suits, respirators, and 90 degrees, fun times, and really profitable.
