I've done racoon damage clean up many times over the years on boats.
I always require payment from the owner and never rely on a payment from an insurance company because in my experience it's been some do and some don't.
I have no idea on which companies did or didn't but I do remember very angry customers when they find out my bill isn't covered and then even angrier when they realize the carpet, upholstery, vinyl, etc.. aren't covered either.
But an experienced insurance agent should have that information.
On a side note, you ain't lived until you've cleaned up the interior of a boat that had a family of raccoons living in it all winter. Tyvek suits, respirators, and 90 degrees, fun times, and really profitable.
