Spring should be awesome here. If your coming to Buckhorn you will find it as nice a park as you ever been to and lots to do in the hill country.

You may already know, but it's a ways from Florida Grande to any shopping. Stock up before you get there. The nearest Wal-Mart is about 15 miles, I believe in Bushnell. Webster really is out in the middle of nowhere. There is not much in Webster.

The same owner at Florida Grande also owns Wilderness RV Resort in Silver Springs (Ocala area).

By the way: It appears no one is posting to the Group thread. Does this mean that is going by the wayside? I saw no differences in the communications preferences there compared to here.

If you guys get your own group I have a great name for it..... "Hose Draggers".

Sorry, former Sheriff/Fire Investigator and couldn't resist. It didn't go over well at the National Fire Academy in Maryland either, but they did have a sense of humor! We sparred for two weeks, but had a lot of fun. Great school/area.

Thought this might stir some interest on this topic... 1925 restored Ahrens Fox, that was in service in Collinsville, IL into the 50's. Retired and lost. Later found and restored to its former glory. Now located in Colorado. Sitting in Collinsville's main engine house awaiting a drive in a parade.

I spent a lot of time at the Nat'l Fire Academy due to its close proximity to us. I too was a Fire Investigator and had to go to a 6 month police academy. If the police would have scored a little higher on civil service tests they would have been firefighters.
