Road Elevation

There was mention awhile back about a mapbook or something that gave elevations on road routes. Needing the name please and thanks.

I haven't seen a map like this.

If I have concerns on elevation of a certain route I use google maps, it provides a pretty accurate elevation as you follow the route with the cursor. The elevation is shown in the lower right hand corner.

I don't know of one with only elevations but the 'Mountain Directory for Truckers & RVers' is a very good resource to have. Order it directly from the publisher for the best price. Amazon is expensive for some odd reason. It comes in both West and East Editions.

I found this Google Maps elevation for a route a few days ago. It calculates the elevation by way of a bar graph....Hope it helps.

For the book, Mountain Directory for Truckers, RV, and Motorhome Drivers this is probably what you want. There is an West and an East version.
