Joe (ninos):
Consider taking that so called "rock guard" off your rig, or tie it in the up position. Those guards look pretty nice, but spray more gravel onto your toad than actually protect it!!! I know it's hard to believe, but those guards WILL occasionally drag when bouncing over rough roads...EVEN when going slow through, say, campground driveways, and will actually spray gravel back, up, and onto your toad!! We discovered this through a VERY knowledgeable Alaska traveler and when we removed ours.....no more gravel spray!! It was amazing. I'm pretty convinced they look nice, and are great advertising for the manufacturer, BUT, do little to protect your toad...and...besides, take a look,....you likely already have large mud flaps right behind your drivers (ie., rear dive wheels) and it's likely those wheels and mudflaps are way forward from the back end of your rig. I know ya won't want to believe it, but our gravel onto our toad issue went away when I took that nice looking "rock guard" out of the equation. At least, tie it up and try it that way for awhile. See what ya think. Steve & Lynette
