Actually, when your property is taken in for service they are responsible for any damage that may occur while it is in their possession, no matter what you signed. They only have you sign that document so they can tell you they are not responsible. Look here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bailment and you will see what I mean.

We had a not so pleasant experience with CW. Made an apt to have the valves extended where we could reach them. Have the window replaced, and the leveler looked at and find out what was wrong.

Called after a week of hearing nothing that was supposed to take 3 days and they didn't have our MH, it wasn't there. I blew up! What do you mean my MH isn't there? They found it of course, but I wonder when they couldn't find it in their lot where it was at.

None of repairs had been made and I asked how long it would take and they said service rep had quit (sound familiar) and they had a new one and they would get right on it.

I called the next day, no info, no call back (sound familiar)? Called the next day and asked the service manager to call back and no call back. Called the next day and stated I would be picking my rig up on Thursday evening around 5:30 and they better have it ready. This was Tuesday. They called me Wednesday and wanted to know why I hadn't picked it up since I said I would be there Wednesday.

Long story short, went to pick up the rig Thursday night after a call from the manager on Wednesday after I blew up again and the valve extensions were on and no labor charged due to confusion??? No levelers checked, no window replaced, and not going back.

I felt if I had left it there any longer they would probably loose it again or worse it would be damaged. Not using them but trying to find a place to get window replaced and levelers checked. Hopefully I can find someone in the MI area who works on these items and can fix it. I am not at all comfortable leaving it with anyone again.

Good luck with yours. I agree if it got the rodents and damage while in their possession they should pay.

I know this isn't the most "helpful" of comments... but I would have had a thermal nuclear meltdown right then and there... I likely would have ended up in jail...

Kudos to you holding it together !!

My only advice is to get your RV out of there as quickly as humanly possible.. I would find a reputable place and have it fixed to your satisfaction and then, and only then, return to CW to personally deliver the bill to them for reimbursement...

Good Luck !!

When I posted my bad CW experience I forgot about the wheel alignment debacle. you just reminded me of that. CW took our MH to a HDT truck place (Freightliner shop; MH is Spartan chassis) for alignment. After 3 weeks they couldn't find it, and DW was threatening the service manager with bodily harm. It was only after the Freightliner shop called them to come get it did CW know where it was.
