Rodents
What's the best way to get rid of a mouse (i think)? Something is chewing away at items in my motorhome. [emoji16]

Hit up Home Depot,Lowes, or a good farm store.
buy a few mouse traps and bait with peanut butter with just a dab of jelly or jam on top, then
gather up some "Rodent repellent"granular and spray, go under the coach and liberally use around and in any and all holes and gaps everywhere you can find.
also go under the hood and put a screen (metal) over the air intake of your fresh air/heater inlet.
Another thing you can use is cotton balls soaked in mint oil , place them everywhere you think they may have access to enter the coach.
DO NOT use De-Con or similar.. all that does is attract even more rodents & when they die it will be in the most inaccessible places of your coach.

May not get rid of the rodents but will stop them from chewing on wires etc.... in the exact same location. Honda makes a "Rodent Tape" which can also be bought on Amazon ($28) . Simply make your normal repair and wrap the affected component with the tape. Rodents may move farther down the line but will not chew in the same place again.

I agree with saddlesore. My motorhome is parked outside in a heavily wooded area. Mice are everywhere and can get through the smallest spaces. I have tried most every method I have read about.
Inside, I have 10 snap traps with peanut butter placed on paper towels in drawers and cabinets and 6 plastic cups with cotton balls soaked in a mixture of peppermint/spearmint oil that are on top of counters and tables. Traps checked weekly, fresh oil monthly.
Outside, I spray about a gallon of diluted bleach around the tires and under the motorhome. Liberally sprinkling Comet with bleach also works. Monthly.
I have put metal screen (small mesh hardware cloth) in the engine compartment over the air intake. For some reason, mice really like to make a nest in the air filter. After cleaning out more than one, I now do this to all my vehicles soon after purchase.
I also continue to seek and plug all holes. Stuff the hole with stainless steel steelwool and then a good caulk or foam to hold the steelwool in place.
Don't forget your generator. Years ago, I had a mouse nest almost completely fill underneath the cover. I had to remove the generator to clean and fix it! Traps and oil here too.
Although I realize that I will never get rid of them all, I have not had any significant destruction in years. It takes time and regular checking.
Good luck

My neighbor has two outdoor cats. I speak nicely to them and they can have the mice. So far this arrangement has worked.
The cats seem to be attracted to the birds my wife feeds so there is that.

I used De-Con in pet safe containers in the 4 corners of my barn and it seemed to work. Those little green pellets kept disappearing left and right. Then one day I was washing the undercarriage of my tractor and literally, handfuls of the De-Con pellets came out along with the mud etc. I couldn't believe it, but those little beady eyed little buggers were storing the De-Con in my tractor for future gourmet meals!

After mice caused $800 on truck and lawn mower in a shed had damage I started using Critter Ridder and another spray I got at Lowes and sprayed likely places. After two years have not had any further problems. Can't use it on shiny painted surfaces and have to spray every month.

Saddlesore's post pretty much covers it. Fresh Cab and peppermint oils may help, but traps are a permanent cure. Mice love peanut butter.
I had a family of red squirrels in the walls/ceiling of a TT once. I found where they had chewed a hole thru the fridge vent to get in and out, placed a Have-a-heart trap on the rear bumper below the hole and got the parents. Released them about 3 miles away. Next camping trip, the youngsters came out and were running over our feet outside. I gathered them up and put them in a tree when we left with DW standing watch as I pulled away. She caught up with tears in her eyes and said they ran after the trailer for 50 feet before giving up. LOL!

Several on iRV2 recommended Fresh Cab. Pricey, but not compared to cost of damage these little bugger can do. I place the Fresh Cab bags inside a plastic container drilled with a few holes. Placed few pebbles in the bottom of the plastic container. One goes by each tire, two near the genny, and two near the main engine.

I also use peppermint oil on cotton balls inside the coach.
Coach is parked near 100 acres of woods - so far, no mice or squirrels in or near the coach. However, never take absence of evidence as evidence of absence.

We use bob cat urine from predatorpee.com keeps them off the deck BBQ by the house as well. Have also used it near sidewalks where moles dig. Sprinkled around tires seems to keep them away.
I also park the mh on aluminum flashing coated with car wax. That makes it too slippery for them to climb the tires.
