Actually, I retired in 2011. Did not buy my rv until this year, end of May. Spent all summer doing repairs, and just recently got it into a condition where I felt that it would be safe to go more than two blocks from home. Budgetary constraints mean that a breakdown out on the road requiring a tow or roadside service would pretty much force me out of the rv world.

Sure wish that I could. I have been trying to find a reasonable way to do that, but for now medical issues pretty much keep me tied to this area.

There sure are a lot of people in that predicament.

Yeah, so am I. I like the design of my old HR very well. Avert your eyes, all of you new rig owners, but I strongly dislike slides. I'm sure that will get me on the dark side of the moon for a lot of people here, if there are any left whose dark side I am not already on!!!

Wish you well, and same to you.

There are calculators out there to figure in your retirement.

Thanks for the information. But I have actually been retired now for a few years. The real problem is finding doctors who will take medicare. What medicare, and even private insurance will pay, is ridiculous. Considering the rent, staff, and office equipment that a doctor must cover, and the billing hassles, it is no wonder that doctors do not want to mess with medicare. Who could blame them??

Yea I agree. But they do make an oath and they have an obligation to help people and not turn them away because of a nationally used insurance that millions use every day. Some doctors don’t care I guess. In it for the money. Is there not a website for Medicare that shows what doctors in what town/city take that insurance?

That is true. But no one can afford to work for free or at a loss.

Yes there is -

Many doctors will not accept medicare, and even though someone is listed, that does not necessarily mean that they will accept new patients. Getting through that combination of restrictions is like looking for hens teeth.
