Roof Sealant

1990 Monaco Crown Royal with a fiberglass roof that is in perfect shape ... however last weekend we got caught in down pour ... 6 inches in one hour at Itasca State Park in MN. We found out we have a very small leak around the bath room vent. The sealant around roof vents looks like it could use some touching up. I was amazed at how many products are out there. Looking for suggestions on which one to use to re-seal the roof vents?

Lynn: The Dicor Lap Seal is the proper sealant to use...many of us select that product for our needs. Here is a link to the product to let you see what the tube looks like and what to expect as $.

I will give a double thumbs up on the Eternabond tape if you are in need of the taping that seam. I have applied it to several areas on my roof and it makes a very permanent bond.

Hey thanks so much, every time I ask a question at irv2 I get such a great response, what a great family to be a part of. I did research on EternaBond, it sounds promising. I will check out Dicor too.
Thanks

I would use the 4" Eternabond tape on all the larger openings such as skylights, vents, etc., and the Dicor 502LSW self-leveling sealant on the small openings such as vent pipes, TV antenna, etc.

Flex Seal is your friend. $5 at HD or Lowes.

Especially for a small leak like that.
