Route 66 Service Contract Question

I purchased Route 66 Classic coverage with my 2001 MADP.

Does this policy cover fridge/freezer replacement?

The policy ought to be pretty specific about that. What does it say? If it is an "inclusive policy" and lists what is covered, is the fridge on the list? Or if an "exclusive policy" and lists what is NOT covered, then is the fridge on the excluded list?

Gary, the service contract language seems to cover fridge/freezer replacement, but there's nothing like someone who has first-hand knowledge.

I would think it would depend on whether or not they can repair it. I know they covered work on mine. They also covered a rebuild of my generator which actually cost them more than a replacement would have. All in all I found them excellent to work with.

Do you know what was fixed? I ask because my fridge will probably require a new cooling unit & maybe a new burner. The cooling unit is the most $$$ because not only is the part expensive, but the fridge must be pulled out in order to replace the cooling unit.

Don't recall, it was about 3 years ago. If you really want to know, just call the claims number and give them your policy #, they'll tell you right away.

As I said, they pulled my Onan out and repair cost was over $4,000. Poliy cost me $2,000. They also paid out over $1,000 for new ball joints, tie rods, etc.
