Rules

All RV parks have a list of rules. Trouble is, they are not enforced. Why do so many people think they don't have to follow the rules, which usually infringe on others' enjoyment of the park? Are they just that inconsiderate of others or are they just clueless?

Some campgrounds are very strict. Others seems management just don't really care but have the rules in cast they have to do something and ask someone to leave.

The "clueless" part pretty much covers it!

I think the answer to your questions is "all the above." They probably are the same way at work, at home, or just out and about in general. Problem is you can't legislate stupidity, crassness, douchebaggery, etc.

Some people just are [ moderator edit ] no matter were there at home or campgrounds or rv parks. Some are great to be around were ever you meet them just good people. I just hoped to meet more good ones than the others

I think they know exactly what they are doing. Problem is they think just because they rented a spot, that entitles them to do anything they wish.

It isn't just in the RV park! When they leave they are that way on the road, and when they get to the store, and it goes on and on.
In answer to your question I would say both inconsiderate and clueless.

IMO it's the same reasoning as used to justify speeding.

Enforcement doesn't happen because people don't like confrontation.

Out of sight, out of mind. If the Park employees don't see it, then it did not happen.
If you see it, personally report it and ask that they take immediate action. If they don't take action, then report them to their superiors,

Rules

Researching parks very well covers this for me. Jerks get tossed. Quickly.
Issues with troublers have been very few in the last many years.
It's the mgt that makes the diff.
Choose wisely, my friends!
YMMV.

In many states talking on a cell phone while driving is illegal. A lot of people do it anyway. I guess maybe these are the same ones that break the CG rules you're talking about.

X2, my grandson and I almost got taken out by some idiot on a cellphone toady. She almost swerved into us at about 50mph, while we were sitting still at a stop sign, missed us by inches. Sure hope that phone call was important. Rules are like locks on your house, they keep honest people honest. Only problem is it only takes one self centered idiot to ruin your day or maybe your life. And of course they are always so sorry when they get caught and have to pay the consequences, I'm so sick people who think rules are for everyone but them.
