Running fridge while driving

I have always left my fridge on while driving. I recently had a buddy that bought a travel trailer and the dealer told him to shut the fridge off because as he drives down the road the fridge will constantly try to light and will very quickly burn out the board.

Now, I've always left mine on and never had any issues. Thoughts on this topic?

I drive with mine on also Had a problem on another trailer (old one) that when a big truck went by the other way the "compression" wind would blow the flame out. I cut a piece of plastic cardboard to cover the bottom half of the door grill on the inside and that stopped the "compression" wind and I had no problem from then on.
On my new trailer with auto start I haven't noticed a problem.

Dealer doesn't have a clue how fridge controls work or how well the propane system is designed for stationary use AND Transit use.

Flapping his gums.......Fridge MFGs would NOT agree with his 'ass-sessment'

In out TT we traveled with the fridge on propane and never had a problem. Dealer needs to save his bad information for use in selling RV's.

Never had a problem with either fridge, or water heater running on propane while moving.

Off topic...but years ago I took my Triumph to a British repair shop and there was a sign on the wall that stated: "If you like warm beer get a Lucas Refrigerator".

Having had several MG's I totally understood. Fortunately the TR 7 convert was new enough to have a Delco ignition system.

On my MH the refrigerator never gets shut off. Shore power or the inverter is always on.
