Runway landing Lights
It appears to me that the outside lights on some units are
getting bigger and brighter each year.
Some of them are bright enough to land a 747.
The annoying part is when the neighbor forgets to shut
them off and the bedroom is lit up all night from their
light.
Just had a neighbor that went away for three days, put the outside light on, and it stayed that way until their return.
They said they did it for protection.
Nobody knew they were away, so like idiots, we just kept knocking
on the door, since the park would not let us change sights.
Once again......common courtesy for your neighbor.

You didn't have a ladder and a roll of duct tape?

They left the light on so the bad guy wouldn't trip over the lawn chairs.
Somehow the word "pellet rifle" comes to mind.

It's bad enough that some rigs have these monster lights for a porch light on their door/awning side but now I see them on the left side facing your door if you are next door.

I have large docking lights on both sides and high mounted floods that are factory installed. Many coaches come this way for use when they're needed. It's not the lights fault, but the uncaring person that operates the switch.
When in a campground, we turn off our porch light and any other lights when we go in for the evening. If we're boondocking or in an area where we might have an unusual concern for theft, we'll leave the porch light on.

Duct tape.
Cardboard.
Maybe a small ladder or stepstool.
Try to allow for air movement so you don't cause the bulb to overheat or melt the plastic lens. Be the better neighbor even though it's really annoying.

Our bedroom has blackout curtains that are very much appreciated. Even during daytime, we can close them and nap as if it's the middle of the night. One possible solution that will not require the consideration of others. Chuck

Since I often camp at highway rest areas and truck stops while traveling I installed room darkening shades. Day or night I can turn my sleeping area into a cave, which was helpful when I pulled into a rest area outside of Dallas at 5pm so I’d be all rested for a 2am traffic-avoiding drive through Dallas.

When all else fails and no ladder or other means to block out light we use Aluminum foil on our bedroom windows. I like the blackout shade idea.

The only time others outdoor lighting bothers me is when we are sitting outdoors, enjoying a beverage, star gazing!
Other than that, when we go inside, shades are down, and we don't hardly know when the sun comes up
or, Holidays bring on even more outdoor lighting

. . .Yup, sure would be nice if everyone turned off their outside lights - at least at bedtime . . .Some folks also enjoy just sitting & looking at the sights above on a dark & light free night. . .
