Thanks for the input on the CRV. I go back and forth, but 200 miles in a Jeep touring sounds uncomfortable. I am hoping I can find someone retiring from the RV road with a nice toad. I will just keep my eye out. Take care!

The dogs need some training on dealing with other dogs. In the past we always took them to dog parks and it was no biggie to see other dogs. One dog gets too tough and gets beat up and one has a weak stomach. Seems to always pick stuff up at the park. So now when we see dogs its like holding back 6 year olds from Santa's loot on Christmas!

Be careful if you get a CJ-7, CJ-8 they are not towable without modification.

Didn't see anybody mention "Dremel" Not fast, not powerful - but lightweight, compact, saws, drills, and grinds for all those little jobs.

I have always been a hands on person and a person who will do everything so I tend to carry a full tool shop in the basement. Soldering iron and solder a floor jack that will lift one corner of the rig is nice and ready tools to change a tire. Along with the dicor you already have, some contact cement and a patch piece of EPDM membrane is a good thing to have on hand. WD40, dry lube spray, hand cleaner, a can of grease, rags, solvent are all nice to have but can be bought in a pinch. Small stuff like teflon tape, super glue, 5 minute epoxy are also nice to have. Other things I like that are not necessary are items like IR temperature gun, good grade tire pressure gauge, oven thermometer, meat thermometer, and finally, a Ronson rotissary.
