Smile RV club

I am new to RVing. This will be our first year to live in an RV. What is a good RV club to join to get discounts on camp grounds? What are your likes and dislikes of the club(s) you joined?

Passport America which gives 50% discounts on some cg probably pays for itself the most quickly. Good Sams seems like it has the most parks but you only get 10% off. You get discounts in Camping World too with the card. If you do a lot of camping it will pay for itself eventually.

Escapees has some parks both commercial and ones that they sort of own. But you should join the Escapees for a lot of other reasons especially if you are a new RVer. They have free training videos, they run RV university with a lot more videos and they host the RV Bootcamp which is an in depth three day training course in all things RV. They offer more than I can list here but check them out.

There are other clubs/businesses but they offer specialized services and you need to be sure your camping style will fit with what they offer. I'd hold off on those until you've been doing this for a year or so and then you can decide if they fit your style. Be very careful of thousand trails and others like it, people get trapped by their contract. It is very expensive.

I'll also recommend Passport America and Escapees RV Club... and get involved with the group for the best experience.

Hope you enjoy your new lifestyle; we certainly did for 16 years!
