Are there any RV clubs that caravan to Mexico without paying the leader or the club anything?

I googled Mexico RV caravans and came up with a couple. One was Fantasy something, I forget the other one.
I definitely want to do this sometime.

There are at least 3 Mexico caravan companies, that you pre-pay several thousand dollars to, and they pay for camping fees and some tours, etc. I would rather pay my own costs as I go. But go with a group of RV'rs that are not running a business, just members of an RV club who want to go to the same place and feel more comfortable in numbers. The places where the caravan companies go is Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Penasco, El Fuerte, Mazatlan, and down the Gulf of Mexico coast. One of them even goes just over the border into Guatemala. Escapees has a Mexico chapter, but they go on only one trip a year, and usually not very far.

Not exactly my first choice for a fun trip.�� And I have visited central Mexico several times and enjoyed it but that was over 10 years ago and not in an RV. Really not sure how safe it is these days. I guess I worry to much.��

Been going to Mexico for the past 16 years and never a problem. In fact, we are leaving for Mexico on the 13th.

Like anyplace else, you don't go where you shouldn't, be aware of your surroundings, and don't go flaunting your diamonds and Rolex watches. Be nice, not the jerk head tourist, and have a good time.

😱 Well, being retired military and in the emergency preparedness business, I am probably a bit paranoid and always look at worst case scenarios. Anyway if someone feels comfortable then by all means go for it.

My wife and I have enjoyed our past trips down there.

There are several commercial RV caravan companies that you pay $1,000's in fees to the hosts and profits for the company. But I am looking for just an RV club that plans many caravan trips around the US and Mexico, where you pay the actual camping and related costs as you go. A group of people who just like to go to Mexico. Does anyone know any like that?
