I need some advice on Collision repair sown in the deep South. I recently got a little too close to an 18 wheeler trailer

while traveling back home along I80 from Rock Springs WY,,, it got the Passenger side mirror and fractured the upper right hand corner of the passenger side windshield. (not to mention I sucked all the leather off the Captains chair

) and obviously there is some damage to the post between the windshield and side window. (pushed it in a little causing the windshield fracture)
Do any of you guys have recommendations on a RV Collision repair place in the south MS, LA, and AL areas? Also what question(s) should I consider asking a repair facility when I talk with them.

Your insurer should have the names of repair shops in your area.

Yeah but we are given the liberty of finding our own... our insurer just ask for the estimate/quote from the place we decide to have it repaired!!! I kinda like that!!!

The only one I know is Alliance Coach in Lake Park, GA., and in Wildwood, FL. They do outstanding body & paint work. It's hard to find body shops equipped with large paint booths to handle motorhomes.

I recommend Bay City Rv in Theodore, AL. This is the only place that I will let work on my Dutch Star

I wonder if this is the place called "RV Collision" in Theodore AL? I found them and they have been doing collision repair for the past 15 years and they have their own Paint Booth/building

A real pro in the RV body business will have a paint booth large enough to hold a 40 foot coach. Anybody who makes that kind of investment is a serious player. That doesn't mean another guy who has to do his painting outside cannot do a good repair, but the paint booth is one way to identify the pros from the wannabees.

I recommend Mike's V Collision in Wilmington, NC, but that may be out of the way for you. Alliance RV in Wildwood, Florida also has a good reputation.
