What I find interesting in this thread is the negative comments on the two publications from people who say the information is invalid and not worth the cost. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it.
I am one of those that felt spending $150 was cheap in the grand scheme of things when considering the purchase of a piece of equipment I had zero knowledge of to begin with.
RVCG had a LOT to do with my decision to buy a Newmar DSDP and since my purchase, I have looked at many other makes/models and still feel I made the right choice based on what I have seen since and the information from RVCG.

Today, having owned a class A for a few years and looked at lots of different ones, I likely would not bother to spend the money if I were in the market for another rig. But, looking back to my search before the Newmar, it was the best $150 I had spent in a long time.

RV comparison guides.

We have purchased books and cd's from JD Gallant and have been happy with all the materials. Not everyone would spend the time to compare all the info supplied about a particular R V, but we have found it helpful to check wheelbase info, handling and weight comparisons. I feel that the money spent for the CD's was well spent and kept us from spending hours checking out a particular unit only to find out the CCC rating or other specs were too low for our use. We each shop for RV's our own way and if it works for you, great. Our way works for us.

No Weight Info

The RVCG no longer has the CCC or any weight info. That was one of the things I was really interested in getting, and did not.

I revised this thread to let those that found this in a search know it does not include weight info.

Do all the research and then go buy the one you fall in love with.

It doesn't make much sense, but has worked pretty well for us twice.
