RV Condos
Good Morning Everyone,
Sometimes we leave the road to travel elsewhere as I imagine many of you do. We have located a RV Condo in Nevada that we can purchase the space outright. It potentially works very well for our lifestyle, near a main road and relatively close to an Airport.
Do any of you know of places like this in Texas or Arizona?
Thanks in advance for your help
Jeff and Lynn

Sounds like you are looking at Las Vegas Motor Resort.

Hey Stan and Shirley,
Actually, we were not but we'll add them to the list and thanks for that! Do you store your rig there?

We really enjoyed our stay at Retama Village near Mission, TX. They have different choices ranging from luxury sites with casitas (or storage sheds with accommodations called a Texas Coach House) to condos with motorhome ports attached. Very reasonable prices in a beautiful development. It is a private gated community.
All sites are privately owned, however you can lease a site from the owner or try one of their free stays to see how you like it.

Hey everyone,
Thank you very much, keep em coming. Maybe RV Condo is my term, right or wrong? We found 15' x 40' or 80' storage units for sale at a favorable price. Just wondered if this a usual concept or where else it might be done?
Thought that was a great idea for us.

Hi Jeff,
Dove Valley Storage in Denver is offering rental or purchase RV/man cave units. I haven't seen them but I think it's a growing concept as many are looking for an indoor place to store their toys.

Jeff, No, LVMR even on the lower end is a little too pricey for my taste. There is one in Boulder City and one in Pahrump that have a few privet lots. They converted back to rental when sales went flat. We are in the NW part of the valley and we bought into a gated town house association that has an internal lot specifically for parking RVs, trailers and tow dolly. It's not a paved lot nor does it have power, but its at no extra cost on the HOA Dues. We also are keeping a loose eye out for something ourselves in the Hill Country from Kerrville to just east and south of Austin.

Stan,
Thanks for that! I'll check those places out. Lvm looked nice but it does seem a bit spendy,

How much demand do you see for this type of facility in Central Texas? I have toyed with the idea for some time but not sure what lot size, amenities needed (required), or what the median price point should be. Location is on a major east/west highway in a small town, rural atmosphere, minutes from the Highland Lakes chain (and constant level Lake LBJ), N/NE from San Antonio or Austin, with ez 1 hour drive to either on major highways.
As mentioned in above posts there are several successful venues in the valley and coastal areas but I don't know of any in the Hill County...just thinking out loud.

There is apparently some demand for long term parking if you look at the number of pricy "resort" style facilities ranging from just northwest of Kerrville running south even over to Bandera, then north east to Lake Fork but I'm not wanting a rental, I want something I would be more for reestablishing our residency. There is one buy your own close to Medina Lake, but have been advised that the lake there is only a 4-5 % capacity. I already live in the desert so had to write that off. I'm also looking at property from 1/4 to 1 acre that are zoned for RV or mobile.
