RV Financing

I currently have a loan with US Bank for 4.99%. I am not very happy with them. I am looking for financing with another bank, what are the going rates out there, and can anyone recommend a good bank. We have excellent credit. Thank for your help.

If you own a home, a home equity loan will be cheaper. I pay 3% currently.

For straight RV financing--4.87% seems to be as good as I can find right now. That's also with excellent credit. And as a FTer. (many if not most places no longer will finance for FTers due to some changes in the Federal laws they don't want to bother with).

My experience in the past was that sometimes you could get a better rate if you were re-financing the RV loan. Not sure if that is still the case, but it may be as I still see a fair amount of ads encouraging you to re-finance your RV loan with them.

We have used Bank of America for three RV loans. Good service on the account.

I know I am coming in late here, but this is a good question and I have a good answer.

My neighbor, whom I've been friends with almost all my life, uses bill pay through his bank and makes sure that his payment is made by the 1st, or if it is a weekend, as soon after as possible. It isn't considered late until the 10th. He has now had 3 different occasions when he has been sent late payment notices. Apparently, Ally doesn't count his payment until it clears their "system", which is a VERY slow process. He has shown me records showing funds deducted from his account on the 5th, but as of the 15th Ally would tell him that it hasn't cleared. They would condescendingly offer to waive the late charge. He explained to me that the people on the other end of the phone tend to be very curt no matter how nice he is, and trust me, he is a very nice guy.

His solution is to pay a month early since he doesn't want them messing with his credit because of their bureaucracy. He will be changing banks very soon. I just wanted to share in case someone has a choice. Avoid Ally for this reason alone.

Like post #5 we use Bank of America also. We just bought our first MH last month. We have excellent credit and were delighted to get a rate of 3.9% for 20 yrs.
Hope that helps.
