How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Just curious...but most posts involving a Classified Sale get pulled and re-directed to that part of our forum. What about this post is allowing it to be a part of the regular protocol?

Nothing personal against the OP or mods, just wondering what's changed? One of my first posts was about a part that I would give to the first person that wanted it, and somebody offered $10 for the part (including shipping). The post got pulled as being an advertisement.

Hence, my question.

bamaboy: Because it's allowed under the rules. You have to use the classifieds here, then you can advertize it with links.

That's correct.

" Post RV and RV-related sales in Classifieds only. Discussion forums, galleries or other sections of our site may not be used to sell products or solicit for items wanted. A brief (passing) mention that an item is listed in the iRV2 Classified area is acceptable, but must not include an item description, pricing or similar details. "

We bought both ours from Craigs List locally. Just be aware when listing on CL (and here as well) that there are buyer scams out there that will contact you as soon as your ad hits. Do not deal with a buyer that's stationed overseas or on an offshore oil rig in New Zealand that is buying the rig sight unseen for his father and only wants to deal through PayPal.

Also, do not respond to any buyer that offers full price without seeing the RV and/or wants to have their agent pick up the RV.

You might want to correct all the spelling errors, expand your ad words, and add photos, or a link to them on another host.

It is easy to build a web page, with lots of info and photos. Tell a story about your RV. Add lots of photos!

And now also be ready to start receiving a flood of calls from listing services, sounding too good to be true. When I listed my last toy box and Foretravel, those calls started within 48 hours, and last for months. I sold the trailer on Craigslist in 3 weeks, the Foretravel in 5 days. Price it to sell, not to show, and have it perfectly clean, organized, and odor free.

Yup, these were all part of the scam I mentioned above.
