RV Inspection Required in Central Florida

Our search for a Class A, DP moved forward today with a tentative purchase of a (one owner) 2004 Monaco Dynasty 42. The sale is subject to an professional inspection and my own personal inspection.

My problem is, I'm located in Vancouver, BC and the motorhome is located at a dealer 3,200 miles away in Florida. I've gone over a lengthly video of the unit, close to 150 photos of the unit in general as well as close-ups of all blemishes and I've had a number of discussions with the dealer.

Now, I need to find a good resource to inspect the coach and chassis for me. If it passes muster, I'll fly out to do my personal inspection and close the deal.

So my question to you learned and experienced folk is, "Do you know of a reputable RV inspection service in Central Florida?"

A dedicated RV inspection or mobile RV service that covers the Tampa - Orlando area is what is needed. I'd like a thorough inspection of the coach and all key components as well as at least a best effort on the chassis. On the chassis, I'm not expecting a diesel mechanic to run a full engine diagnostic but at least have someone familiar with diesel pushers examine and test drive it and provide an informed opinion and their observations.

Worth a call ..

Hi Ron .. I live in Winter Haven, FL, half way between Tampa and Orlando ... I used an independent outfit close by for warranty repair on my 2013 Challenger and found them to be prompt and professional. Not sure if they do inspections, but it's worth an email to find out .. Here is the link to their web page ..

Good luck ..

Ron you might narrow down the city. From tampa. to Orlando to the east coast is quite a distance.

My experience with these so called pro inspectors has not been good. You really don't any choice but go to one of these "pros" before you commit to see the unit. My suggestion would be to submit a list of paticuliar items that require evaluation in addition to the usual. Things like: condition of ball joint and control rod end boots. Proof when was the air dryer desicant cartridge last changed, any evidence of roof leakage, condition of the roof, age, condition of the tires.

Good luck
