Unhappy RV insurance

It's time for renewal and progressive rates seem to have skyrocket. I have an 07 Pacifica and wondering if it is worth the 900.00 plus dollars for full replacement.

Hi Pita,
Welcome to iRV2. Can't advise you on the is full replacement worth it question. I have it. However, find an agent that represents Met Life. Get a quote from them. Insurance rates are dependent on your zip code and if a company wants to insure in that zip code or not.

Grrrr Ins. Companies

I have had my problems with Insurance companies because I'm full time. They have some quirky rules they do business by! I just found out that if you spend more than six months out of the country (Canada or Mexico) they will drop you! Even though they have no liability for your rig while your out of the country! And your paying your premium which is free money to them! So, my advice is to use a broker and hope they know what their doing. I would further suggest comparing two brokers. JMHO

I have all my insurance through my State Farm guy and have had for 30 years. I get a discount by having all my insurance in the same place. Plus a discount for accident free, long time member, and a few others I can not think of right now. Check around. Some of those company's that advertise cheap rates are really not that way if you have the right personal insurance agent that will help you.

Yep, correct name for them: Progressive as they progressively raise the rates!

You might give GMAC a try. I have them through Good Sam. They beat Allstate all to pieces.

Try Explorer RV they are a broker and they should be able to get you a rate that you can live with. I just wrote with them and I got a great rate.
