RV Insurance

Hey all,
Anyone here looked into a company called "Explorer RV insurance agency"? or may have a policy with them? When my current policy is up I will be shopping around. I am currently with "The Hartford" via AARP discount and have a pretty decent rate. however, sometimes the grass can be greener. Any Info about this company would be great.

Exlorer RV is an agency, not an insurer. They represent National Interstate Insurance.

I shop around every couple of years. We left The Hartford for National Interstate back in 2002 when Explorer RV agency gave us a better price on broader coverage than AARP/Hartford. Last year we left National Interstate in favor of Allied (a subsidiary of Nationwide), who gave us a little better rate and a couple small extras.

We had two claims while insured with National Interstate, one of them major, and have no complaints.

We insured thru Explorer RV Ins. Agency (Broker) and had National Interstate for the 7 yrs. we were Full Time.
Policy on our 5vr (home) was same type of coverage as was on our S&B Home PLUS personal property, hotel, car rental and custom equipment.
Policy on our truck was 100/300 with towing etc.

Over the course of 7 yrs. no other Ins Co. came close in coverage/premiums
We had 2 claims. Minor one 2nd yr. and Major one 5th yr.
Both were handled fast, efficient, no hassles and no surprises.
Dealt directly with National Interstate on claims
Explorer was dealt with when renewing, policy changes etc. and they handled those just fine.
