Although the price of a policy is important, what we are most concerned about us their claims handling. We are currently with State Farm because all of our other insurance is with them. They are charging us $634.00/yr for $250.00 deductible for physical damage coverage. We recently got a quote from Good Sam/National General for better coverage for $393.00.
Has anyone had any claims experience with National General?

Yes, I found my toad was not covered by the RV insurance while in tow.

As we all know, rates vary widely. There are so many variables. I've had Progressive on the MH since 2009 and haven't had the premium go up but about $40 in that time. The house is with Progressive, got it some 5 or so years ago, and its rate has held fairly steady. The cars though, took a while because Progressive was always higher than other companies. That was until this year, when they surprised me with a quote some $200 cheaper than the insurance i already had. Now like Ron, everything is with Progressive.

I'd sure like to stay with Progressive so i'm hoping they'll do good and not go crazy with premium increases in the next few years. We'll have to see.

As far as claim service goes, i don't know because i have yet file a claim. But, i have talked with them over the phone on several occasions and they always sound like they have their act together.
