Insurance companies are a lot like parachutes, you want the best when you need them the most. Don't be fooled by the initial cost but judge them by word of mouth reports of how they treat people when they make a claim. Also, an agent only represents the different companies he offers and is not with that company. He may be a great guy but not necessarily the company he sells you. I have had USAA all of my adult life and their is no finer ins. company in the world. But when I went to get a new policy with them they referred me to Progressive. I don't know Progressive but if USAA says they are good then I trust them. I am paying $620/yr for $1000 deductible.

You can try Hartford. My dad's with them for our camper. They have some good services like a no drop policy and a life time repair guarantee.
